USEFUL TIPS FOR DELAY
There are a lot of delays happening almost every day lately. It's understandable that no one is happy about the inconvenience, although it's actually worth anticipating them in advance, then it might cause less tension.
We've collected useful ideas from personal experience of hundreds of flights, in case they're helpful.
- Make sandwiches! It can be taken through security and helps to avoid queues or hunger on night flights. (Also cheaper than anything else at the airport.)
- It's best to buy water from a vending machine, it usually costs more in airport shops.
- Take water with you on the plane so you have it when you're sitting on the plane and have to wait!
- Have a charged power bank in your hand luggage! This will help you avoid getting nervous because your phone is running out of power.
- Have a charging cable in your hand luggage! Most airports have charging outlets (on separate pillars, counters or between rows of seats)
- Have a fresh change of clothes and essential toiletries in your carry-on! It will be a great help if the checked baggage is delayed.
- In case of electronic exhaustion, bring a book, coloring books for kids and UNO cards! It has come in handy many times.
- Before heading to the airport, download movies on your family members' mobile devices as airport Wi-Fi is slow!
- At least take the kids to the bathroom before boarding the plane! You don't know how long you will have to sit still.
- DON'T WORRY! When you decided to go on a flying vacation, you knew the plane might be delayed. In fact, it won't bring the world to a halt.
- If you rented a car, notify the car rental company of the delay in writing while you are waiting!
